Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust parle le langage universel des enfants d’exilés qui font face au mutisme de leurs parents. Lorsque le passé se fait trop douloureux et que le besoin d’appartenance au pays d’accueil se fait trop grand, comment parvenir à transmettre son héritage, comment retisser le fil d’une narration rompue ? Fils d’un père iranien ayant fui son pays suite à la Révolution islamique de 1979, Darius a souffert de cet héritage manqué, jamais formulé et a progressivement nourri un fantasme autour de celui-ci.

Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust speaks the universal language of the children of exiles who face the silence of their parents. When the past becomes too painful and the need to belong to the host country becomes too great, how can one transmit their heritage, how can one retie the thread of a broken narrative? The son of an Iranian father who fled his country following the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Darius has suffered from this unexpressed heritage and gradually nurtured a fantasy around it.
